We Care Like Family
Our goal is to help our seniors stay active and involved, while supporting their independence for as long as possible.
Here at Golden Care Village we believe that care should be provided in a homely environment with qualified and caring staff. We have a safe and secure environment in a home-like setting for the purposes of providing day care services to your senior loved one whilst you as the primary caregiver take a much needed break, get back in the working world with the secure knowledge that your senior loved one is in safe and loving hands between 07:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.
We provide seniors an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental, social and physical stimulation as well as providing continuous love and support.
Also to provide the primary caregivers (sons, daughters, etc.) a much-needed break in which to work, attend to personal needs, or simply to rest and relax.
About
Golden Care Village Senior Daycare born out of a mother's love …
In 2018, my mom was diagnosed with dementia. I didn't know the first thing about this brain disorder, yes a brain disorder, while dementia does affect mental health, it is not a mental illness, but a disorder of the brain that causes memory loss and trouble with communicating. I was troubled and hurt by my mom's condition, I felt helpless in helping her. I couldn’t concentrate at work as I was worried about her, she lived alone. One day she disappeared, and I wasn’t even aware, until some kind lady came knocking, because she knew mom from our area, telling me mom is confused and lost and she did not know where she was. I was beside myself as I've seen it so many times in social media news, parents disappearing for days on end, due to this horrid disorder.
I've searched many sites and to be honest the care facilities out there charged enormously for care, sadly none of these fell into my affordability bracket. Government Care wasn’t an option due to my average middle income, I earned "too much" to qualify for government assistance, so I did the only thing I knew would be best for mom, I quit my job as a team leader in the BPO industry and took my knowledge of dealing with various personalities, coupled with my love and knowledge of mom and took care of mom for 2 years. In the beginning there were so many stumbling blocks, learning curves and tears from both of us, until I learnt to dance to mom's tune and together our dance became a smooth waltz.
During those 2 years, even with all the struggles, the love outweighed my decision though, I decided this was it, this is what I wanted my life to be and I embarked on various caregiver courses, nutritional courses specifically aimed at the elderly, registered a care facility and here I am today.
I set out to create a safe and secure home-like environment with qualified and caring staff, providing high quality affordable care. I know first-hand how draining this condition can be on the primary caregiver and whilst I am still working on creating a stay-in facility (watch this space) I have in the interim created a safe day care haven for your senior loved one, but also with the primary caregiver in mind, you get to take a much needed break, get back in the working world with the secure knowledge that your senior loved one is in safe and loving hands between 07:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday. Providing the seniors an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental, social and physical stimulation as well as providing continuous love and care.

Living and Thriving
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Social Interaction, Planned Activities, Arts & Crafts, Mental Stimulation Games, Musical Entertainment, Gentle Senior Exercises, Birthday Celebrations and Monthly Local Outings.
PERSONAL CARE
Grooming (e.g. once a month a specialist in grooming finger and toenails) Toilet Hygiene, Walking and Feeding as well as Bed baths on request by the senior's primary caregiver.
NUTRITION
3 Nutritious daily meals specifically designed for seniors, prepared special meals for dietary requirements, e.g. Diabetes, Hypertension, etc. Including snacks
HEALTH SERVICES IN LINE WITH COVID-19 PROTOCOLS ARE ADHERED TO AT ALL TIMES
Medication dispensing before and/or after meals, blood pressure checks, oxygen level checks, temperature checks, blood sugar level checks, weigh-ins.

Our Mission and Vision Statement
Vision
Our vision is to build an affordable, yet quality adult day care center, where people can unreservedly leaver their relations in our hands on a daily basis, and be totally satisfied in the long run.
To establish a well recognized adult day care center where seniors can be shown outstanding love and care.
Mission
My main aim and purpose for starting a day care center is to provide affordable, loving care for other seniors. I have started with just this one center for now, and then see how I am able to succeed in my vision of a successful well recognized day care and in the long run opening a much needed affordable live-in facility for senior adults.
Everyone ages. It’s an inherent property of life. As our bodies and minds develop over time, we adapt to these changes by modifying our decisions and actions. The later years of life can be especially challenging, but Golden Care Village Elderly Daycare Centre is here to help. We listen closely to our seniors in order to understand their needs and limitations, then discuss and determine potential solutions with them and/or their primary caregivers. We work with you to customize options that will make the life you want for yourself and your loved ones a reality.
